We spend 30 hours a year on
average listening to ring back
tones (the time waiting for
outgoing calls to be answered).
Joyp turns the boring 'ring ring'
into smiles!
At the Android Market .
No. Joyp Connect uses the normal call set-up time (up to 10 seconds).
Currently, Joyp is only available for Android smartphones. Additional versions will be released soon, so stay tuned.
Anything that'll make 'em smile! Your Joyp message should be a maximum of 10 seconds
long, since that is the amount of time they'll have to hear it during the ring-back time. Oh,
you can also add a weblink and text to your Joyp.
Yes. Choose as many or as few recipients as you wish, or select all your contacts.
You can hear the Joyp you created even before you send it. All the Joyps you have already sent appear in the "My Joyps" screen. Select any Joyp message to play, or to send again to the same recipient or to another friend.
When you make an outgoing call (to any phone number, even if not a Joyp user), you'll hear the Joyp during the first 10 seconds of ring-back time (the boring ring-ring you hear while waiting for the receiving party to answer). If you receive non-surprising Joyps, you can also hear them directly from your inbox.
Sure. Just go to your inbox, and select any incoming Joyps that you want to replay.
First, check that you actually received a Joyp. Here is how you can test if everything is working: Send yourself a Joyp. If you did receive it, but still can't hear it, then check that your phone is not on silent-mode.
Yes. Choose any user from the contacts list, and click Block Joyps. They won't know that you blocked them.
You can tell by the shading of the Joyp notification. New Joyps are darker and have "NEW" before the name of the sender
Your inbox will show you how many "non-surprising" Joyps you have - those are the Joyps that you can identify who send them to you, even before you listen to them. On the 'Keypad" icon you have all the Surprise Joyps which you haven't heard yet. The total number of Joyps you have (surprising and identified) is shown on the app icon.
You will hear the first Joyp you received with your first phone call. The second one with the second call, and so forth...
When you first download and install Joyp in your Android smartphone, you will need to login into facebook through the "Settings" screen using "Facebook
Joyp will prompt you periodically to synchronize with facebook, and you can also initiate a sync whenever you want to, through the "Settings" screen. Click "Facebook," then "Sync." You can also sync again after creating a joyp through the Android phone's "options" button, and pressing "Refresh Friends List."
No problem. Just go to the "Settings" screen and click "Log out."
Sure. Just go to the "Settings" screen to turn off status updates.
It depends. If your facebook friend has not installed Joyp, you won't see him. Only facebook friends who have Joyps are seen. Another reason is that it takes facebook up to 24 hours to populate new friendships to third party applications (such as Joyp,) so you new facebook friend will appear within 24 hours AFTER you have synch'ed the application with facebook (go to the "Settings" screen, click "facebook," then "Synch.")
